Beautiful Scottish wedding in East Lothian
The day began at a gorgeous wee Air B n B in the heart of North Berwick. Laura was getting ready with her mum, her best friend ( from nursery days ) and her lovely sister in law to be. As I arrived, the bucks fizz was flowing, the lovely Laura Shirley was half way through their make up, there was a nice calm energy in the room. We chatted away whilst I captured the moments, it felt like we'd known each other for years. Laura's brother and dad arrived which was a lovely opportunity for some photos of them altogether.

From nursery days to wedding days...I love how these two have been best friends since nursery.

Guests arrive at Whitekirk Hill

Ceremony
The lovely Mary from Life moments with Mary led a beautiful, heart felt ceremony full of laughter and tears ( including from myself ) At one moment, both mums were invited to come up to give a last kiss to their children before they go off on their adventure into marriage. It was a really lovely moment to acknowledge they gave them their first kiss as they arrived into the world and now they are creating their own family. Laura's friend played the piano as they signed the register which was such a great personal touch.

Confetti, Fizz and Hugs
The wind was a howling so we took the decision to have our confetti throwing fun inside. It worked really well and as always it was super fun and full of Joy. Guests enjoyed some delicious canapés by the most wonderful Jo's Kitchen and Laura and David enjoyed seeing all their fabulous family and friends.

Epic wedding party vibes

And of course with their dugs...

Photos with a view...
As I live within 5 miles, I know the area well and enjoy doing the Whitekirk Park run. This also always me to scout out epic locations for photos. I found a set of very overgrown steps that I cleared to allow access to these stunning views.

After our windy, wild and wonderful photo adventure, we headed back into the warmth for more fizz and plenty of fun. The speeches are one of my favourite parts of a wedding, from behind the camera, it's a wonderful opportunity to observe the room and take some beautiful portraits. Plus I love hearing people talk about how much people mean to them, it's just the best.

Party time and sunsets...
We were blessed with a beautiful golden sky to close the day, we nipped out for a quick photo in-between all the epic dancing fun times.
