East Lothian Wedding, Party Vibes Only

As I arrived on a gorgeous sunny day in June, excitement was in the air. Shaun and his pals were in the courtyard, after a warm introduction to everyone I popped up to meet Taelor and her awesome bridesmaids. From the moment I stepped in the room I was greeted with smiles and warmth, their energy was infectious and I knew it was going to be a super fun day. Broxmouth courtyard is the perfect venue to celebrate your love. On each side of their spacious courtyard you have everything you need. On one side, beautifully renovated cottages for you and your closest people to say on site. Directly across the courtyard is the reception venue with gorgeous big windows and lots of space to dine and party. On the other side is the elegant ceremony room with a stunning bridal suit above.

Lively ceremony full of laughs and love

TJ the celebrant did an incredibly job of not only matching the awesome energy from this wedding but adding even more to it. The ceremony was full of fun, personal touches and a lot of laughs and plenty of tears of joy too.

Wedding reception drinks, confetti and live music

Taelor really did think of everything for her big day. As the fizz was flowing, gorgeous soulful sounds could be heard across the courtyard. Live music in the afternoon, yes please! I love this part of the wedding day, the nerves of the ceremony have gone, you get a chance to see your wonderful guests and in this case the party gets fully started!

You Two

Just before everyone was called to dinner, we took some time out for some beautiful photos by the lake and a quiet corner of the courtyard.

Family photos

I love family photos, with plenty of pre planning, I make sure they are as fun and as easy as possible. They are such a wonderful opportunity to get a photograph of you with your closest people.

Party time...

To be honest, with this epic wedding it was party time from the moment I arrived and it did not stop! As the guests found their seats, the energy levels went through the roof with the help of the incredible We Are Tartan entertainment with Paddy doing the DJing...

Speeches and dance floor vibes...

The speeches were amazing, the highlight for me was Shaun's wee nephew producing a personalised football shirt as a gift with his nick name for him printed on the back. This was just one of so many really fun, personal touches that made this wedding so memorable. The party was electric, as the evening guests arrived, even more energy was brought to the dance floor, it was so much fun to photograph.

Golden light

As always, I have a keen eye on the ever changing light on a wedding day. In June the sun sets perfectly at Broxmouth, the gorgeous golden light shines beautifully into the courtyard. We certainly made the most of it as we took a wee breather from the dance floor.
