If you're looking for a relaxed, outdoor wedding vibe then you're in the right place. John Muir Tipis is the perfect East Lothian Wedding venue for you. Their Tipi is Situated in a lovely big field with lots of space for your beautiful outdoor ceremony. For the couples photos it is a short walk through gorgeous woodland, leading you towards a beach on the edge of John Muir woods.

The best start to a wedding day, I met Emma and her closest friends at the beach to start the day in style with a dip in the sea. It was such a fun way to start the day, if you're a cold water dipper then I highly recommend it!

Emma got ready in a gorgeous wee cottage in the neighbouring village of East Linton with her closest friends, her daughter and her dad arrived towards the end. We chatted, they ate pizza, made some last minute dress alterations and had a really lovely chilled morning.

The weather was kind, as it so often is on the East Coast of Scotland. As I arrived at the venue, their lovely celebrant Gina was chatting to guests and helping everyone get seated ahead of a beautiful ceremony under the canopy of trees.

Fizz, Hugs, games..oh and Alpacas of course

After their beautiful ceremony there was plenty of time to enjoy the gorgeous surroundings, take some family photos and enjoy the delicious canape's and a glass of fizz ( or two ) There was such a lovely relaxed feel to the whole day.

A short walk leads to the perfect place for couples photos. At the edge of John Muir Woods there's a gorgeous beach lined with Scots Pine trees. Having photos just the two of you is super fun, my approach is to see this time as a lovely moment of reflection. Take some deep breathes, hold hands and go for a walk. With gentle direction I'll take beautiful photos for you.

The evening was full of wonderful speeches, delicious food and lots of fun and games. The beauty of this venue is how secluded it is. The kids can run around outside and have the best time and the parents can relax knowing they are safe and having an enormous amount of fun.

It's party time - Emma and Frederic had a Ceilidh band, it was so much fun with lots of wild dancing and lots of laughter. If you're planning your wedding and deliberating over having a Ceilidh, I would highly recommend having one. Even if it's just a few dances to star the evening, Ceilidhs are a wonderful way of getting everyone up on the dance floor. From a picture point of view, it really helps to capture some energetic, lively photos of the evening activities, these are a great addition to your wedding gallery.
