Beautiful Church Ceremony followed by garden party wedding.

Clare and Alan planned a wonderful day to celebrate their love. They got married in their Church which is right in the City of Edinburgh, they then had a brilliant garden party at The Seton Garden. I started my day at Clare's family home where she got ready with her mum, sister and sister in law. It was such a lovely chilled morning. Clare's dad, brother and brother in law to be were all at the house too which created a lovely family vibe.

Edinburgh City Centre Wedding

After spending a lovely morning with Clare's family I drove into the centre of Old Town Edinburgh to the Church of Sacred Hearts. Wow - this building is quite amazing. I met with Alan and his family as they lovingly greeted their guests. There was great excitement in the air along side the beautiful sound of the church choir warming up their voices.

Wedding Ceremony

The Priest kindly showed me how to access the balcony which allowed me to capture some amazing arial photos. Clare and Alan's friends did readings which was really lovely. I have only photographed a few Catholic weddings before so it was interesting for me to learn about their believes and exciting to photograph.

Outdoor Wedding Reception

The Seton Garden is the perfect place to continue their wedding celebrations. I arrived ahead of most guests to allow me to get some great photos of them excitedly arriving. The Seton Garden is a beautiful walled garden with woods along on side. One of my favourite parts of the day is the drinks reception, there is so much joy and laughter to capture.

There is a gorgeous short walk through the woods to get into the walled garden. We took this opportunity to take some photos and for Clare and Alan to enjoy some time together ahead of the party.

The weather was kind, the guests all enjoyed delicious canapé's, plenty of fizz and lots of laughter. In between all the hugs and chats of congratulations we did some lovely photos of the wedding party.

Speeches, Cake, Handfasting

One of Clare and Alan's close friends did an incredible job of compering the evening with wonderful introductions to the speakers. After some heartfelt and funny stories the delicious dinner was served.

Party Time

The dance floor was full from start to finish and I was on it the whole time. I love a good dance so I get right in on the action to capture all the fun.
