I'm sure you have a lot of ideas but also plenty of questions about how to plan your perfect wedding. I'm here to help you find your perfect East Lothian Wedding Venue. I've selected 10 of my favourite venues and I'll tell you about each one.

1.John Muir Tipis

If you're looking for outdoor space, this is the exclusive use venue for you. Perched on the edge of the beautiful John Muir woods, the Tipis are ideal for a secluded, relaxed wedding. You can have your ceremony beneath the trees or in the tent. There is lots of local accommodation in Dunbar for your guests or you could rent bell tents in the field and create a festival vibe. For your couples photos, it's only a short walk through the trees to the beach. You can get local caterers in or have food trucks park up in the field. There are so many options to make this beautiful venue unique to you and your wedding day vision.

2.Broxmouth Courtyard

This exclusive use venue has an elegant ceremony room, purpose built getting ready suite, a gorgeous big courtyard for cocktail hour, this place has it all. Nestled in the woods on the outskirts of Dunbar, this venue offers a beautiful, secluded escape from the outside world to celebrate your love in style. The courtyard is lined with cottages that sleep up to 22, perfect for your family and wedding party. There is more accommodation on site too. For photos there is the courtyard, a lake, woodland and it's a 5 minute drive to a beautiful beach.

3.Dunglass Estate

A short drive south of Dunbar, set in the heart of the Dunglass estate lies a 15th Century Gothic church, beautiful, romantic and perfect for your dream ceremony. There is lots of on site accommodation and a modern, purpose built reception room for your meal time, speeches and party fun. For getting ready and accommodation there is plenty of space, a beautiful Seaview House, cottages around the courtyard and The Treehouse. There is lots of wonderful outdoor space for lawn games in the sun, a courtyard for reception drinks. This venue is a romantic escape in nature.

4.The Harbour Chapel

This venue is truly unique and exclusive. A stones throw from the Harbour, you're right in the heart of Dunbar, a beautiful East Lothian sea side town. Your guests will be wowed by the stunning stain glass windows in what is the oldest methodist chapel in Scotland dating from 1764. The Chapel has recently being beautifully renovated with a modern bar at the back, perfect for pre and post ceremony drinks. For photos you can pop along to the harbour if you turn right or to the beach if you turn left. You will be welcomed with open arms by the wonderful team who run this unique, beautiful venue.

5.Winton Castle

This exclusive use wedding venue is a spectacular place to get married. The Castle is absolutely stunning inside and out. The grounds are beautiful, perfect for a post ceremony stroll and some photos. Wether you are looking for an intimate celebration for 40 or a grand banquet for up to 250 guest, Winton Castle can provide. In the warmer months, there is a beautiful walled garden where you can enjoy an outdoor ceremony surrounded by nature. There is a lot of accommodation in and around the castle for all your guests to enjoy the historic wedding adventure too.

6.The Seton Garden

Located just outside Longniddry, this stunning exclusive use, marque wedding venue has it all. A gorgeous woodland for romantic post ceremony walks, a beautiful church to get married in and lots of outdoor space. They describe themselves as a blank canvas for you to paint your own picture but backed up with structure, professionalism and impeccable service! There is plenty of accommodation for your guests in close by towns of Aberlady, Gullane or North Berwick. If the weather is on your side, the sun sets in just the right place in late spring for some gorgeous golden light.

7.Ravensheugh Cabin

The most magical place to get married. Ravensheugh cabin offers incredible views over Tyninghame beach with Bass Rock in the background. Guests will have an exciting journey deep into the East Lothian countryside. The cabin offers a great day time shelter to serve canopies and reception drinks. For the evening fun, there is plenty of space to put up a tipi tent to host all your guests. With rustic, outdoor vibes, this venue is perfect for lovers of nature and the great outdoors. Another option for the evening is to use Tyninghame Hall which is beautiful and the perfect place to celebrate into the night. It is all exclusive use.

8.Tyninghame Village Hall

This gorgeous village hall is the perfect place to celebrate your love. It has a centrepiece log fire, south-facing windows and views across the Lammermuir Hills. The hall provides a magical location for your East Lothian Wedding. There's a great kitchen for caterers to use, enough space for a band, dancing and a ceilidh. There is also a beautiful lawn at the front for reception drinks and access to more space at the back too. A wee stroll through the village for photos is a must! Tyninghame Village Hall, is 2 miles east of the picturesque village of East Linton, 5 miles west of Dunbar, 7 miles south of North Berwick and approx. 25 miles from Edinburgh.

9.Whitekirk Hill

Whitekirk Hill is an incredible venue. There is lots of accommodation with 15 luxury lodges sleeping 88 people in total. It is set within 160 acres of varied landscape, with woodlands and grassy meadows. The are some easy to access vantage points with epic photo opportunity, making the most of sweeping views across the coastline including Bass Rock and Tantallon Castle - hopefully capturing a golden sunset too. With a purpose built ceremony room inside if needed and a beautiful dining area, it's a great venue for your East Lothian dream wedding.

10.Marine Hotel

A beautiful hotel right on the waters edge. You can get married out on the front lawn or in one of their stunning suites. From the hotel you get impressive views out over the North Sea. A short walk around the golf course leads onto a gorgeous beach for photos. Guests can enjoy making a weekend of it by using the great spa facilities and it's only a short stroll into the quaint seaside town of North Berwick.
